Open Session is a raw, poetic exploration of competitive climbing through the eyes of a new generation of athletes, featuring Nina Schroeder. This film dives into the challenges of women and climbers of color pushing themselves mentally, physically, and culturally in a sport that is still finding its balance in terms of diversity and inclusion. Against the backdrop of chalk-dusted gyms and the beautiful Moes Valley of Southern Utah, the film weaves together personal reflections, lyrical moments, and the reality of where the climbing industry is today and what it will become.
